This sanctuary breeds otters, reintroduces some young otters into the wild, and rehabilitates orphaned otter cubs. There are also deer that roam freely around the grounds. Visitors can see the otter, walk nature trails, take picnics and visit the gift shop.

The National Seal Sanctuary is located on the southern outskirts of the town of Gweek. The facility focuses mainly on the rescue, rehabilitation and release of seals. Many parts of the facility are open to the public.
